The Limestone Coast Landscape Board commenced the review of the water allocation plan for the Tintinara Coonalpyn Prescribed Wells Area in March 2025. Under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019, a water allocation plan must be reviewed on a comprehensive basis at least once in every ten years.
The review process is focusing on evaluation of the current plan and whether it remains appropriate or requires amendment moving forward.
The Stakeholder Advisory Group met regularly in 2025. The Group provides advice and recommendations to the Limestone Coast Landscape Board in the review of the Plan. Meetings have focused on understanding resource condition, the monitoring network and review of key concepts of the Plan. Minutes of the Stakeholder Advisory Group meetings are available on the project page.
Community sessions were held across the prescribed wells area in October 2025. These sessions provided an opportunity for community members to learn more about the review process and provide feedback. If you were unable to attend the first round of community sessions in October 2025, visit the project page to learn more and stay up to date with progress. The project page provides an evaluation form on the current plan as well as a summary of the community session key themes that were raised for discussion.
The Stakeholder Advisory Group will meet again in February 2026 to continue review of key concepts of the plan. Community engagement will be held in mid-2026 with the evaluation phase of the review to be finalised by the end of 2026.
