Led by the National Malleefowl Recovery Group on behalf of the Limestone Coast Landscape Board, the annual malleefowl mound monitoring survey returns from 2 - 8 November, and we're looking for volunteers to help survey malleefowl mounds across the Upper Limestone Coast.

Each year, volunteers assist in surveying malleefowl nesting mounds across the Upper Limestone Coast, collecting valuable information about breeding activity and population trends. Data gathered by mound monitoring efforts helps inform habitat conservation efforts for this vulnerable species.

Volunteers can participate for a single day, several days, or the entire monitoring period from 2-8 November. No previous experience is required, with training and support provided. As a bonus, free camping is available at Cantara Homestead in Coorong National Park throughout the monitoring period.

Whether you've monitored malleefowl before or are interested in joining for the first time, we'd love to have you involved.
